Welcome to Lebanon, NH. Offering small-town charm without sacrificing modern conveniences, Lebanon provides healthy, happy living in the rural countryside. The city is primarily residential, and houses a population of around 13,500 people. Situated on the Connecticut River in the heart of a pristine New Hampshire Valley, this city offers some of the most beautiful scenery and landscapes in the world.
The City of Lebanon is classified as one of the "100 Best Small Towns in America" by Norman Crampton. Lebanon is a full-service community and acts as the central service center for the Upper Valley.
The scenery is outstanding. Lebanon is framed by ridgelines surrounding the bottomlands of the Mascoma and Connecticut Rivers that give Lebanon's terrain a strong, varied profile. The Mascoma River cuts the city in two, linking the eastern and western ends of the community and of partitioning north from the south. The Connecticut River serves as a landmark that defines the city limits on the west, and ties the northwest section of Lebanon with the southwest corner. Lebanon is situated approximately 60 miles from Concord, the state capital; 120 miles from Boston; and 120 miles from Burlington, Vermont. Elevations range from 340 to 1336 feet above sea level.
Lebanon makes for a gorgeous daytrip, too. Come visit and see if stress-free, country living with all the modern conveniences would make a perfect fit in your new lifestyle.
